This
course explores the Craft of the Digital in Architecture and Building.
It uses the internet
to document and assist the collaboration of two people collaborating
in the construction of a 3D model of a significant recent daylit
Art Gallery, here dealt with is Davis Museum by Rafael Moneo. The
aim is to explore computer illumination within a given builiding
in the development of a design understanding of the interplay of
light and shade under daylight as well as electric light.
Introduction to computers
via an exercise
to learn modelling and rendering, then designing
the art museum in autocad and exploring the lighting via renders.
Further documenting
the chosen museum via links and findings and learning to collaborate
with a partner. |
