Welcome to the ARCH/BBSC403 Digital Craft Class of 1999
Course Coordinator: Michael Donn

Since 1990 the major assignment in this and its predecessor classes has been the telling of a story about a building through the moving image. Since 1996, the story has included music / sound. The presentations on these pages do not include the original music because the students used tracks from their own personal CD collections. These 'animations' are specifically NOT walk through experiences of the building. With many the sound is an integral part of the exploration of the buidling.

Please select a link to a student's animation from the list below. Note these files are 20-100Mb in size so are only suitable for download on fast internet links. Software used was 3DS Max for the animation. Razor Pro and DPS Reality were used for the video edits. AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Microstation and Revit have been the modelling programs. A few students have use www.greatbuildings.com as the source of 3D building models.

The following files are Windows avi format using Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec 1 created from the original DVD elemental video files (no sound).
